![]() ![]() I'm doing alright without them, but there are certainly times where it can be frustrating not to have any, or if I do have some, that I can't use them effectively.Īny tactical help with Medieval II archers, or ranged units in general, would be much appreciated! ![]() Right now I'm 200 turns deep into a Sicilian campaign (SS), and I have rarely used archers, or ranged units in general really, at all. My problem appears to be only when I have a couple units of archers.įor example. I've played campaigns with archer heavy armies (mostly in mods), where my armies are comprised mostly of archers, and I use them very well. Once the infantry are all tied up, I never can find a use for them without massive friendly fire, or without getting half of them killed, and it seems that in that brief period where they are useful, they never accomplish much. ![]() Unless I use 6 or more archers, I never notice an effect, but what tends to happen most is that the battle unfolds in a way where my archers become useless after the first few minutes. While I love them dearly, I can never seem to use them very effectively unless I use them en mass. ![]()
